Kidney cancer is a cancer that starts in the kidneys.

Kidney Cancer Symptoms

Kidney cancers are normally picked up on ultrasound scans. If the kidney’s cancer begins to grow, the symptoms can become more obvious like Blood in the urine, a lump or mass in the area of the kidney. Other symptoms like tiredness, loss of appetite, weight loss, can also be symptoms of kidney cancer.

Kidney Cancer Diagnosis

If after initial consultation Mark Feneley suspects Kidney cancer he suggests the patient to undergo a series of tests like ultrasound, urine tests, blood tests, radiological diagnosis, Intravenous pyelogram (IVP), bone x-ray, fine needle aspiration etc.

Kidney Cancer Treatment

During first appointment with urology consultant, patient and consultant discusses all of kidney cancer treatment options like surgery, removing the affected kidney, removing the tumour from the kidney etc. For some people, surgery may be too risky, the other options for treating their kidney cancers, include Blocking blood flow to the tumor, Treatment to freeze cancer cells Chemotherapy.
